ASCa (Active Silencer Cassette) is an active silencer which reduce low-frequency noises in all types of airflow system: ventilation, air conditioning, ventilation equipment.
ASCa active silencers also come with a range of traditional passive baffle silencers to improve their effectiveness and manage all audible frequencies (20Hz-20kHz).
This system, developed by the IBP Fraunhofer Institute, is produced and sold by TechnoFirst under exclusive licence.
The ASCa cassette (Active Silencer Cassette) is a compact metal unit containing a microphone, an electronic control module, an amplifier and a loudspeaker.
The microphone picks up the noise propagating in the air duct and transmits this data to the electronic system. This system analyses this data and generates, in real time, the appropriate sounds in anti-phase. The loudspeaker associated with the amplifier emits these sounds which reduce the noise.
Output or input treatment of short ducts
Ventilation system ducts and air handling units
Treatment of air inlets and diffusers
Autonomous air conditioning units
Original equipment on all types of fans, extractor hoods and air curtains
Intercom systems treatment in buildings
Reduction in the normal modes of enclosed cavities
ASCa was designed with simplicity and effectiveness in mind. All components of each ASCa are integrated into a single compact unit made of galvanised steel. ASCa products can be easily integrated into all types of equipment: all you need is a power source. ASCa products are modular and can therefore be installed to suit the specific needs of every customer/application.
The specifications and dimensions of the ASCa can be adapted to the characteristics of every project or equipment (please contact us).
As an indicator, the specifications of a standard ASCa are as follows:
Galvanised steel unit
Standard 20 to 30 Volts DC power supply
Optional: 220V - 50Hz or 115V - 60Hz
Standard dimensions: 250mm x 250mm x 210mm
Weight: approximately 6kg
Max flow rate = 5m/s
